Full job description

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Studio Art Classes, the Studio Art Life Model poses for select adult classes of the MFA’s Studio Art Classes Program. Life Models support the delivery of curricula, providing students with an opportunity to develop their craft in a professional, controlled environment. Through working with Life Models, students increase their perceptual and hand skills, develop a deeper understanding of anatomy and proportion, and connect to histories of artistic production.

Essential Functions:

Pose for studio art classes, such as life drawing, life painting, portrait drawing, portrait painting. Model poses include nude, costume, and street clothing.

Must have previous life modeling experience.

Be physically able to provide a full range of body gestures and poses, from quick gestures to long, sustained poses as required by the instructor.

Be able to re-establish posed positions for long-term modeling sessions

Demonstrate the flexibility and animation of the human form.

Punctuality and flexibility in meeting scheduling demands.

WAGE:

On-Call hourly

$30 per hour
