Full job description

Description:

This role is responsible for the set-up, adjustment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of line equipment in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards. The Set-Up Mechanic will play a key role in ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate manufacturing line machines according to product batch records.

  • Conduct routine mechanical inspections and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs on production and/or line equipment.

  • Perform changeovers between different products or formats efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Perform track and trace activities as required on packaging equipment.

  • Maintain Lockout & Tagout system. Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all setups, maintenance, adjustments, and downtime.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of manufacturing equipment and room equipment.

  • Assist other maintenance staff in completing special projects or maintenance work as needed. Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
