Description Consider a career as an Automotive Technician at Northway Toyota, part of The Albany Auto Group's award winning dealerships! Our high customer and employee satisfaction scores are because of how we do business. We are seeking motivated individuals with automotive technician experience to service new and used cars. Top pay - highest in the industry! Fully air-conditioned and heated shop! Excellent working environment! Our technicians perform all warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance and repair work. Technicians are also responsible for installing accessories and performing new vehicle pre-delivery inspections, along with prep work. Technicians are required to maintain a current knowledge of vehicles and their service needs as described in manuals and technical bulletins, along with attending regular factory- sponsored trainings. Requirements We have openings for entry level (six months to one year) or experience with at least (3) years of prior experience as a technician, preferably in a dealership setting • Basic knowledge of vehicle electronic components, theory, systems, and testing tools and procedures • Skill in diagnosing and repairing all key vehicle systems and components • Knowledge of the proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, along with using tools and equipment safely • Basic writing skills (to record work performed and recommended future service requirements on repair orders) and the ability to read and interpret repair orders • Reliable with good attendance, work ethic, and time management skills • Valid, insurable driver’s license and ability to pass a background check Additional Information We offer an excellent compensation package with competitive starting rates, health insurance, dental, vision and supplemental benefits like accident, hospital and life insurance, a 401(K) retirement plan with company matching, plus service and vehicle discounts. Hourly Rate $20-$22 Could be higher depending upon experience. with incentives total pay could exceed $75000 per year, depending upon performance.
