Job Summary :
-
To assess, plan, and implement the nursing care to meet the patients' needs, by following the appropriate policy and procedures of the assigned department.

Education :
-
Position requires an Associate's Degree (ADN) or diploma program.
-
Registration/Certification/Licensure :
-
Registered Nurse State Licensure
-
Successful completion of Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course required.
-
Experience :
-
Position requires 2 -3 years of related experience.
-
Other Requirements :
-
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Current ONS/ONCC Chemo/Bio Therapy Preferred
-
Provides 1:1 care to Infusion in-patient population when needed.

Must have a current cancer specific certification by an accredited certification program or ongoing education by earning 12 cancer related continuing education nursing contact hours each year for a total of 36 CEU’s per accreditation cycle (3 years).
