Farmingdale State College invites applications for Adjunct faculty positions in Aviation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required. We maintain a file of potential candidates that we review each time we have an opening.
Periodically, adjunct teaching positions become available in Farmingdale's programs Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and Air Traffic Control. These Bachelor of Science degree programs are theoretical and technical programs that prepare students for careers in all aviation fields, including Commercial Pilots, and Air Traffic Control.
This current posting is for individuals with education and experience in Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and/or Air Traffic Control.
If you have professional and/or academic experience in our needed areas (as described above and provided below in the requirements), please submit your CV and a cover letter if you are interested in joining our faculty.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a Master's Degree in Aviation or a closely related field. Candidates with Master's Degrees in other disciplines will be considered if they can demonstrate education, experience and/or scholarship in aviation and/or Air Traffic Control.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

FAA Certified Advanced Ground Instructor

Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII)

Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)

FAA Certified Air Traffic Controller (Tower, Center, and/or TRICON)
