Essential Job Duties:
The primary duties of this position include the following:

Comply with legal and regulatory health care requirements related to HIPAA / FERPA , OSHA , AAAHC , Infection Control, CMA / RMA codes of conduct and NC State University Regulations and Campus Health protocols.

Perform patient intake and document chief complaint, vital signs, medication reconciliation and medication, material allergies or sensitivities in the electronic health record.

Administer medications and injections as ordered by medical providers and documented in the electronic health record. Assist providers performing office based medical procedures for GYN and Primary Care visits

Perform skills based tasks such as ekgs, ear lavage, applying DME , wound care Work with the GYN and Primary Care Nursing Supervisors on assignments such as chart reviews and other work group assignments. Complete unit based training with passing scores at hire, as needed, and annually if applicable

Attend monthly nursing, nurse provider, and all staff meetings. Stock and prepare medical clinics for direct patient care per unit protocols.

Required Qualifications:

Current certification through American Medical Technologists ( AMT ) as Registered Medical Assistant or Current Certification through American Association of Medical Assistants ( AAMA ) as a Certified Medical Assistant.

Current BLS Provider CPR certificate
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in primary care setting with office based procedures.

Administration of injections, patient intake, application of DME and assisting with office based procedures.
Required license or certification:
