Lead mechanic provides lower level technicians guidance in repairs and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies.
Responsibility Profile :
-
Performs mechanical repairs and services to equipment daily.
-
Performs motor and gear box changes and maintenance .
-
Contribute to daily start-up and monthly department meetings ensuring thorough communication to associates .
-
Manage and monitor the performance and efficiency of repair operations .
-
Actively participate in technical and safety training programs .
-
Perform computer-related activities as necessary to accomplish tasks, including the work management and project scheduling systems, Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs, e-mail, calendar, and spreadsheets .

Directs Maintenance Mechanics to maintain plant equipment safely and properly with the goal of 100% reliability and minimum downtime for unexpected repairs .

Covers o perations and m aintenance positions as required .

Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay range: $25-$35 p/h depending on experience
Qualifications

T hree ( 3 ) year s of transportation mechanic experience .

High school diploma.
