Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Rate: $30- $33/hour (depending on experience) Shift: Full-Time, Part-Time Schedule: 8 am - 4 pm
Roscoe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is looking to add a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to its rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide therapy services that help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall function. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist

Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence

Monitor resident progress and communicate treatment updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
-
Complete required documentation, treatment records, and care plan updates accurately and timely
-
Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques, exercises, mobility, and adaptive equipment
-
Assist with discharge planning, home exercise programs, and equipment recommendations
-
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident outcomes
-
Participate in staff training, in-services, and quality improvement initiatives
-
Maintain therapy equipment, supplies, and treatment areas
-
Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:

Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association

Valid New York State Physical Therapist Assistant License required

Newly licensed Physical Therapist Assistants encouraged to apply

Skilled nursing facility experience preferred

Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
