Job Description
Per Diem Requirements- must have extensive experience in Med/Surg and able to work two-12 hour shifts per month's schedule with one shift being on a weekend. Must be able to attend 3 consecutive days of orienataiton.
The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The Med/Surg RN develops specialized skill in the area of cardiac care including telemetry monitoring. The RN is accountable for patient family education to assist the patient and family in understanding self care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing. He/She promotes comfort and provides emotional support in a healing environment. na
