Back to all roles Engineering Senior Software Engineer Cincinnati, OH or Remote (US) Full-time About this role As a Senior Software Engineer at Soundtrace, you'll take a leading role in building the platform that tens of thousands of workers depend on for their hearing health. From audiometric testing workflows to real-time compliance dashboards, you'll own significant pieces of the system end to end, set the technical bar, and mentor other engineers. The specific tech stack can be shared during the interview process — assume common web technologies.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and own major features across our web and mobile applications
- Work across the full stack of a modern web platform — frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Set the technical direction on projects and mentor other engineers through code reviews and pairing
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical teams
- Ship code to production regularly with a focus on reliability and performance
- Help maintain and improve our testing, CI/CD, and monitoring systems Who you are
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep experience with common web technologies across the stack — modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, server-side development, and relational databases
- A track record of owning complex features or systems from design through production
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where you wear multiple hats
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communicator who can work effectively with non-technical teammates Nice to have
- Experience with mobile development
- Familiarity with healthcare or compliance software (HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Background in data visualization or real-time systems
