Job Description Summary

The Product Leader is responsible for lifecycle management of power generation products - defining product strategy, driving execution, and delivering business outcomes through a team of direct-report Program Managers. This role leads cross-functional planning and execution across product development, operations, commercial, contracts, engineering, and customer teams to ensure products are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to customer and business needs.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Program Managers responsible for execution across multiple product initiatives

Translate strategic priorities into executable programs, milestones, and measurable outcomes

Partner with engineering, supply chain, operations, finance, and commercial teams to align product delivery with business objectives

Drive governance, operating cadence, and escalation management across the product portfolio

Monitor program performance, risks, dependencies, and resource needs; intervene as needed to remove roadblocks

Ensure prioritization of SQDC - includes customer requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and schedule commitments are met

Build & execute action plans to achieve assigned metrics to track product and program health, including delivery, customer impact, and financial performance

Lead portfolio tradeoff decisions based on business value, technical feasibility, resource constraints, and risk

FLIGHT DECK - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus

People Leadership Responsibilities

Directly manage and develop a team of Program Managers

Set priorities, clarify roles, and ensure strong execution discipline

Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support

Build team capability in program execution, stakeholder management, risk management, and communication

Promote effective cross-functional influence and decision-making

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related field

At least 5 years experience in product management, program management, or business leadership

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred

Experience in regulated, industrial, or highly technical environments

Familiarity with product lifecycle management and stage-gate or agile execution methods

Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasts, and investment tradeoffs

On-time delivery of product roadmap commitments

Achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost targets

Program risk reduction and issue resolution effectiveness

Team engagement and development

Customer satisfaction and business growth
