OBGYN Physician/Clinician Informaticist

Cambridge Health Alliance , a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate, is an award winning, academic public healthcare system receiving nationalrecognition for innovation and community excellence. Our system includes three campuses as well asan established network of primary and specialtypractices in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’smetro-north area. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting a full time Ob/Gyn Physician to provide fullspectrum gynecological, obstetric, maternity and reproductive health care services. In addition to providingpatient care, this physician has dedicated time as aclinician informaticist, reporting to the CHIO. Highlights

  • Physicians will work in various settings including at one of our three outpatient clinics, inpatient onLabor & Delivery, and in the operating room. Position is located in Cambridge, with flexibility topractice in either Somerville or Revere

  • Collegial staff with low clinician turnover. Physicians are part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwhich includes Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine Physicians, Ob/Gyn trained PhysicianAssistants, and Nurse Practitioners

  • Physicians will assume an established patient panel from diverse backgrounds and have capacity toaccommodate new patients. Manageable call schedule

  • Physicians have the opportunity to teach medical students and residents from Harvard MedicalSchool and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center across allsettings. The position carries a Harvard Medical School (HMS) appointment of Instructor, Assistant orAssociate Professor, commensurate HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications, andcommitment to teaching responsibilities

  • In the IT role, physician serves as liaison between CHA InformationTechnology and OBGYN andPerinatal Operations to inform population health and value-based careinitiatives

  • Drives optimization of the electronic health record to promote workflow efficiencies and optimal careof our patients and communities while decreasing provider burden

  • Helps to identify data requirements and coordinate the advancement of clinical information systems to satisfy data needs across the organization

  • For those interested/experienced, opportunity to get involved with quality/performance improvementinitiatives for the Department

Qualified candidateswill be BE/BC,possess both excellent clinical and communication skills,and share CHA’smission for providing care to the underserved, multiculturalcommunity.Experience with innovative caremodels, data analytics,and operational governance, as well as facility with information technology preferred;experience with Epic EHR is a plus. The full timeguaranteed base salary range of $250,000-$330,000 is based on years of experience. Total compensationincludes base salary plus production incentive.
