Preferred (not required): 2D Echo / Doppler, Stress Exams, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, and Complex Technical Care.

Overview Join Our Cardiovascular Imaging Team at Piedmont Walton
Piedmont Walton is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our highly skilled and collaborative cardiovascular imaging team. This position performs high-quality adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs) and assists with transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) procedures in a busy hospital-based environment serving both inpatient and outpatient populations. We perform adult cardiac studies only and do not provide pediatric echocardiography services.
Our sonographers work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information that directly impacts patient care. We are committed to excellence in imaging, patient-centered care, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.

This is a PRN Day-shift position. PRN team members provide coverage based on department needs, staffing levels, vacations, callouts, and patient volumes. Previous vascular ultrasound experience is preferred but not required. Structural heart experience is welcomed but not required.
Responsibilities Under the appropriate supervision of a credentialed sonographer, perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing to include 2D echo / Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms as well as other duties assigned by manager, supervisor or lead sonographer. Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings. Qualifications Education
- Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required
