JACOBS has an immediate opportunity for an On-Site CxA/Owner Testing Engineer at our project near Baton Rouge, LA.

The CxA/Owner Testing On-Site Engineer serves as the on-site representative responsible for supporting commissioning, integrated systems testing, Owner witnessing activities, and project turnover. This role coordinates closely with commissioning agents, contractors, vendors, and Owner representatives to ensure systems are tested, documented, and transitioned successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site liaison for commissioning and Owner testing activities.

  • Coordinate testing schedules among contractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and Owner representatives.

  • Review and verify commissioning plans, scripts, procedures, and test documentation.

  • Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), startup activities, and integrated systems testing.

  • Attend and witness system testing, documenting results and deficiencies.

  • Track testing issues, corrective actions, retesting requirements, and closure activities.

  • Coordinate with design teams regarding deficiencies or design-related testing concerns.

  • Support QA/QC and commissioning teams in identifying and resolving installation issues.

  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders throughout the commissioning process.

  • Monitor progress against commissioning milestones and turnover schedules.

  • Support development and collection of closeout documents, as-builts, training records, and operation manuals.

  • Provide weekly reports covering testing activities, readiness assessments, deficiencies, and risk items.

  • Proactively identify commissioning and operational risks and support mitigation strategies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience in commissioning, testing, construction, operations, or mission-critical facilities; or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data center commissioning programs.

  • Experience with integrated systems testing and mission-critical facility turnover.

  • Strong understanding of commissioning processes, startup procedures, and test documentation.

  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in complex construction environments.

  • Excellent organizational, technical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in an active construction environment.
