Important skills include Life Safety Systems Design, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Collaboration, Fire Alarm Systems Design, and Voice Evacuation Systems Design. Preferred (not required): Curiosity, Multi-Tasking, Organizational Skills, and IFC.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the design and drafting of life safety and security systems for advanced facilities.
-
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create and coordinate 3D BIM models with architects and engineers.

Assist in developing layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security/Intrusion Detection Systems.

Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements, delivering accurate, constructible solutions.

Proven experience in life safety systems design, ideally in complex industrial or high-tech environments.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

High school graduate or equivalent

At least 10 years of Drafting/design experience

Systems design experience with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control, CCTV
-
NICET Level II certification

AutoCAD and/or Revit experience

Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role
Ideally, you’ll also have:

3-5 years of Revit design experience

Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code

Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer’s equipment

Industrial design experience
-
NICET Level III certification (or the ability to obtain this certification within one year of hire)
