Overview

Kimley-Horn's Orlando, FL office is seeking a TransmissionLineEngineerwith 5+ years of relevant experienceto join our diverse and fast-paced organization!

Responsibilities

  • Design of high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD.

  • Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings.

  • Prepare specifications and project design criteria.

  • Provide field support during construction.

  • The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as provide technical leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.

  • Occasional travel to client and project locations will be expected.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program orBachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

  • 5+ years related transmission line design experience

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in scheduling and budgeting.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Consulting or utility experience preferred.
