Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner, you will evaluate and manage patients with both acute and chronic neurosurgical conditions, seeing new, follow-up, and postoperative patients, helping them achieve better health through comprehensive, high-quality neurosurgical care.

Every day, you will work alongside and support our two neurosurgeons. Your responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient roles, both assisting in surgery and seeing patients in the clinic. There is no on-call requirement. You will be expected to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide extensive patient education and counseling.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the clinical training to perform neurosurgical evaluations and the collaborative skills to work effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Masters of Nursing

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner: CA (RNP:CA)

  • Effective communication

  • Knowledge of the principles and skills of the nursing process to provide patient care and treatment.

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal

  • Basic Computer skills – familiarity with Windows based software programs

Preferred:

  • 1-3 years experience in Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine Surgery or Pain Management.

  • First-assist surgical experience and comfort in both clinic and OR settings

Pay Range

$144,372 - $214,760 /year
