Our employees develop, build and work on the world s most advanced electromagnetic spectrum operations systems detecting, locating and countering threats for joint and international aircrew. We develop sophisticated digital Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, and we are looking for motivated, positive minded engineers to join cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams. Key EW program objectives are to improve/enhance air vehicle survivability, through the abilities to detect, deny, deceive, degrade and/or disrupt adversaries Integrated Air Defenses.

We are hiring Systems Engineers to participate in Electronic Warfare Systems development programs in Totowa, NJ. As a Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team focused on modeling, designing, developing, integrating, debugging, testing, fielding, and supporting our innovative Electronic Systems.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

  • Creation and/or review of systems, software, component, subsystem requirements and operational concepts

  • Deriving, decomposing, allocation and traceability of requirements to engineering discipline

  • Identification of Risks and Opportunities and executing on mitigation strategies

  • Identification of System Technical Performance Measures

  • Participation in trade studies, analysis, peer reviews, and customer meetings

  • Support system modeling & simulation, design, and development activities

  • Creation of external and internal interface definition

  • Knowledge of model based systems engineering tools and approach

  • Presentation of findings at design reviews internally or with customers

  • Creation of test plans, test procedures and reports

  • Creation and/or review of algorithms

  • Analysis of data to inform decision making

  • Execution of integration, verification, and validation activities and tests

  • Participate in external field and flight tests of our EW Systems

  • Participate in constant improvement of the System Engineering discipline

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science or related

  • 2-20 years of relevant Systems Engineering experience.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s or Master s of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering

  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and/or complex electromechanical products

  • Experience with systems engineering activities across the product development lifecycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, architecture, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test, production, sustainment)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145049 - $246584

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
