Job Description

Job Summary

The College of Arts & Sciences is in need of a Special Program Aid that can assist the college, its departments, and faculty with research and development (writing) of grants and degree proposals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the College of Arts & Sciences, and its departments and faculty, with research and development (writing) of grants and degree proposals.

  • Responsible for working in collaboration with the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects in researching grant opportunities for external funding relating to, but not limited to, research, equipment/infrastructure, programmatic, scholarships, training and education, and degree program offering.

  • Additional duties include review of assessment reports and program reviews and, assisting faculty with manuscripts submissions.

Minimum Requirement

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

  • Experience: No experience required.

  • May not be currently enrolled as an undergrad student at Texas A&M International University.

Preferred Requirement

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

  • Ability to interact professionally with university faculty, staff, students, and the general public

  • Ability and desire to learn new skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a group setting
