Salary: Per GUSTO Contract

Minimum Requirements:

  • New York State Certified Teacher preferred

  • Non-certified teachers accepted on an as needed basis

  • Must have completed 60 college credit hours

  • Must posses the ability to interact effectively with staff, students and parents

  • Must demonstrate professional demeanor

  • Must posses strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Must be punctual and dependable

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

-Provide per diem instructional services for various levels and subject areas

-Follow established lesson plan for each assignment

-Manage student behavior as needed

-Hours vary per building and assignment

-Follow directions given by school administration and/or cooperating teacher

Salary/Pay Scale: GUSTO Rate

Uncertified Substitute Teacher: $130.00/Day

NYS Certified Substitute Teacher: $165.00/Day

NYS Certified Career Substitute Teacher (as defined in the GUSTO contract): $185.00/Day
