Full job description
Join Us in Building the Future of Home Robotics
At Sunday, we're developing personal robots to reclaim the hours lost to repetitive tasks. We're focused on an ambitious goal to make generalized robots broadly accessible, enabling households to take back quality time.
We have spent the last 18 months building a talented team, securing capital, and validating our technology. We are now seeking passionate individuals to join us in the next phase of our growth. If you are ready to apply your skills to the forefront of robotics innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
What to Expect We're looking for a Triage Associate to join our Data OPs team and serve as the first line of defense in debugging hardware and software issues across our robot fleet. You'll work in close coordination with our Eval, Teleop, Fleet Ops and Engineering teams to catch issues as they happen, collect the right evidence, escalate to the right stakeholders and see problems through to resolution. Your role is vital to keeping the fleet healthy and keeping our engineers focused on root causes rather than re-diagnosing symptoms from scratch.
What You'll Do
-
Serve as the first line of defense for incoming hardware, software and deployment issues — isolating, reproducing, and characterizing problems before they're escalated
-
Support intake and triage across the fleet, applying a structured taxonomy to route issues to the correct team (e.g. hardware, software, deployment)
-
Partner directly with the eval, teleop and engineering teams to catch and capture issues in real time
-
Investigate incidents — pulling logs and telemetry, checking prior tickets for similar failure signatures, and documenting clear, reproducible findings for engineering handoff
-
Maintain and continuously improve triage documentation, tooling, workflows, and the ticket taxonomy as new failure modes emerge
-
Track incident trends across the fleet and flag recurring or systemic patterns before they become bigger issues
What You'll Bring
-
Hands-on experience debugging robotics, electronics, or embedded hardware
-
A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, robotics or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
-
Ability to read logs and telemetry and turn them into a clear, actionable diagnosis
-
Clear written communication — your ticket write-ups and RCA write-ups need to make sense to someone who wasn't there
-
High agency — you see an issue, you dig in and don't wait around for someone to hand you a playbook
-
Ability to prioritize across a queue of competing, sometimes ambiguous, incoming issues
-
Ability to leverage AI to enhance productivity
-
A level of hardcore-ness while still treating people like people
Nice to Have
- Exposure to eval or teleop data pipelines
At Sunday Robotics, we’re building technology shaped by real people — curious, creative, and diverse. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply. Studies show that women and underrepresented groups often hold back unless they meet 100% of the criteria — we don’t want that to be the reason we miss out on great talent.
