The Stars of Valor Fellowships Program was established to create employment opportunities for veterans, Gold Star families, and Active-Duty military spouses within the United States Senate. These positions provide fellows with the experience and exposure necessary to build a career in government. Fellows may be assigned to a Senate office in Washington, DC, or State offices across the country. The fellowship is a two-year, paid, full-time employment opportunity. Click here to apply. Detail-oriented Excellent organization skills Strong computer skills Ability to complete projects within timelines and under minimal supervision Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional and courteous work disposition Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in handling sensitive information Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Specific duties for each Senate office will be discussed during the interview process. Duties will vary depending on the specific requirements of each office.
