Select Specialty Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. The PTA will play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment, assisting with physical therapy services, and implementing treatment goals established by the physical therapist.

Successful candidates bring Valid State PTA License and Basic Life Support Certification. Important skills include Physical Therapy Services Delivery, Therapeutic Exercises, Functional Activities, Treatment Goal Implementation, Therapeutic Interventions, and Strengthening Exercises.

Overview

Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Location: Rochelle Park, NJ

Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday between 8 am to 4:30 pm / one holiday per year

Compensation: $29.00 to $44.00 per hour

Sign-on Bonus: $5,000

Responsibilities

Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities
Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT)
Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening and pain relief
Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices
