THE LANGUAGE GROUP is hiring a Freelance Medical Interpreter OSI - Onsite. The Language Group is seeking freelance onsite medical interpreters for all spoken languages in various Virginia markets, including Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Hampton Roads, Northern VA, Richmond, and Williamsburg. They are also looking for New Jersey ASL interpreters. Interpreters must possess high-level fluency in their target language, knowledge of medical, educational, and social services terminology, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethics codes.

Key focus areas include Interpret for medical, educational, and social services settings and Follow company policies, procedures, and Ethics codes.

Successful candidates bring 6+ Months Interpreting Experience and 40+ Hours Interpreter Training. Important skills include Target Language Fluency, Medical Terminology, Educational Terminology, Social Services Terminology, Superior Communication, and Interpersonal Skills.

Full job description

THIS IS FOR ONSITE INTERPRETING

Duties:

TLG is seeking Freelance Onsite Interpreters (Independent Contractors) for ALL SPOKEN LANGUAGES in all VA markets, specifically: Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Hampton Roads, Northern VA, Richmond, and Williamsburg. We are also looking for New Jersey ASL interpreters.
Interpreters must have a high-level fluency of target language, knowledge of medical, educational, and social services terminology, superior communication and interpersonal skills, and follow company policies, procedures, and Ethics codes.
We offer competitive pay and guarantee a minimum of two hours per assignment.

Qualifications Needed:

6 months minimum of interpreting experience
40 + hours of formal Interpreter Training along with fluency tests scores.
