PAY RANGE: $25.00 - $30.00/Hour, Based on Experience

CIVIL SERVICE TITLE(S): Bus Driver (Non-Competitive)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Bus Driver (Substitute)

Hours Per Day: Varies; typical hours are from 7:30am – 2:30pm.

Work Year: 10 Months -- Off during school breaks including summer (July & August).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NYS Class B-CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements. We will provide training here for you to obtain this license and the skills necessary to safely transport students.

  • Annual physical, drug and alcohol testing per federal law.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

  • Clean driving record.

  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues.

  • The ability to carry out oral and written instructions.

  • Displays a positive attitude and builds healthy relationships with students and staff.
