Summary:

The near-term assignment includes work on miscellaneous design projects in the Engineering Unit, including low pressure sewers, small to mid-size wastewater treatment systems, site engineering well/pump design, and mining earthwork calculations. MUST BE proficient in AutoCAD and preferably Civil 3D.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Prepare detailed design documents including: plans technical specs, calculations, reports, permits, accurately and timely. Design documents should be clear, concise, neat and professional.
Perform bid review, assist with proposal preparation
Prepare as-built drawings and punch-list
Communicate project status and potential issues with clients professionally. Interact with team members, project manager, hydrogeologists, admin, subs, contractors, regulatory agencies. Be as responsible as possible. Be timely with deliverables.
Attentive to project budgets and deadlines, stay current on related technical issues.
Maintain communication documentation and project file
Begin to develop project management skills (proposal preparation, project scope/budget/schedule, etc.)
Mentor/develop Staff Engineers
Assist with preparation of monthly invoices.
