Job Summary and Responsibilities

Pulmonology and Critical Care (Pulm/CC) Physician needed in beautiful Santa Cruz, CA!

As our Pulmonology and Critical Care (Pulm/CC) Physician, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican in Santa Cruz, CA. You will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive pulmonary and critical care services, blending both outpatient pulmonology and ICU critical care within a mission-driven, physician-led group focused on clinical excellence and community impact. Enjoy the vibrant and beautiful coastal community of Santa Cruz, with its stunning beaches, redwood forests, and a strong emphasis on outdoor recreation and a balanced lifestyle.

You will diagnose and treat a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, ILD, and sleep disorders, while also providing expert critical care in the ICU setting. You will work alongside a dedicated team of pulmonologists and collaborate closely with specialists in cardiology, oncology, internal medicine, and more. This role offers the opportunity to participate in quality improvement and clinical education initiatives, contributing to the continuous advancement of patient care and medical knowledge within a patient-focused medical group that has strong community ties.

We are offering a competitive annual salary ranging from $415k-$450k, with productivity-based bonus potential. You will also receive a Sign-on Bonus up to $40k, Relocation Assistance up to $20k, and a full suite of benefits including 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage. Your financial future is secured with an employer-sponsored pension and 401(k) with matching, a CME allowance, and malpractice coverage. As a PSLF-eligible employer, this position also offers significant student loan forgiveness opportunities.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

  • Board certified in Internal Medicine

  • Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary/Critical Care

  • Active or eligible license in the state of California

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
