Successful candidates bring PCB Design Experience and AA Degree Minimum Or Bs In Electrical Engineering Or Equivalent Experience. Important skills include IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, Creating Schematic Symbols, Creating PCB Footprints In Libraries, and Interpreting Datasheets. Preferred (not required): Altium, Cadence/Allegro, Library Management Systems, and Design & Manage All Aspects Of Printed Board Design.

Role:

Work with the Hardware Engineering team to provide Schematic and PCB board designs. Layouts range from simple to complex, multi-layer printed circuit boards containing analog, digital, RF, and power components.

Liaise with PCB vendors to select proper materials, stack-ups, obtain impedance specifications, DFX rulesets, assembly requirements, and resolve any manufacturing related issues.

Create and manage PCB documentation including fabrication and assembly packages.

Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines.
Skills:
-
5+ years of PCB Design experience using Altium and/or Cadence/Allegro.
-
Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other electronic standards.
-
Experience in creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints in libraries.
-
Experience interpreting datasheets and schematics to generate netlists and proper constraints in the layout design.

Experience in designing multiple PCB types:

HDI Design

Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex Design

Wire Bonding Design

Aluminum Backed Design

Experience in designing high speed differential circuits, power circuits, analog and RF circuits.

Experience in PCB layout design constraints for mixed/RF signal, signal impedance control, memory interfaces, power distribution, heat dissipation, and optimization for EMI performance.
Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years’ experience of PCB layout design using Altium and/or Cadence/Allegro.

Experience with Altium Concord Pro or similar library management systems.

Proven track record to design & manage all aspects of the printed board design.
Education: AA degree minimum or BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Salary range for this position is $70/hr to $80/hr . Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
