Position is located: Mayo Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft, ME

Work Type: PRN

Hours Per Week: Variable

Salary Range $26.99 - $41.42

Summary:

Provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician. Performs radiographic sonography, and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a Radiologist. Applies principles of radiation protection. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates basic life support procedures. Lead duties include overseeing all training of sonographers, staff schedules, updating protocols, First reports and resolutions, and consistently reviews exams for Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to work closely with radiologist, and follow instructions.

  • Able to perform all QC duties.

  • Knowledge of all probes.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Able to perform all exams in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Able to identify anatomy and relate information to the radiologist.

  • Ensures all charges are properly recorded and processed through the departmental logging system.

  • Works together to increase patient volume.

  • Willing to extend hours to increase volumes.

  • Works in add-on exams willingly.
