Full job description

Teach courses in English in accordance with the established syllabi to a diverse student body; instruction includes assessment of the program's instructional needs, assist in the planning and delivery necessary to meet those needs, and evaluation. Participate in instructional development activities within the department. Maintain established posted office hours. Must have proficiency in computer skills. Commitment to teaching/learning and college mission. Ability to establish good working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and others in the college community and to work in teams. Receives overall direction and supervision from the English Department Chair, is expected to exercise initiative, be a self-starter, multi-tasker, perform tasks independently, make sound decisions, and provide service to the college. Must possess excellent customer service skills.Faculty teaching associate degree courses designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in ENG/ENGL prefix courses.Teaching experience at the two-year college level is preferred.This is a temporary, part-time position.
