Full job description
Prestige Care Center of Fairfield seeks a compassionate individual for the role of Infection Prevention and Skin Care to join our nurse managment team. Prestige of Fairfield is a 73 bed skilled nursing facility in Fairfield, Iowa. Working closely with the DON this position will take the lead on overseeing the Infection Prevention Practices and skin care wound assessments.

performing assessments

plan, develop, implement and oversee the infection prevention and control programs

ensure that the facility is in compliance with current regulations concerning infection prevention and control

recommending changes regarding resident care plans

participate in care plans
-
weekly evaluation of resident skin issues

assure documentation is complete and consistent with care and reflects legal requirements

collaborate with leadership in follow-up of concerns expressed by patients, families and physicians
-
RN preferred.

The qualified candidate will possess Infection Preventalist Certification or be willing to take the training within 6 mos of hire, have a valid RN or LPN in the state of Iowa, be proficient on a computer, and possess an excellent understanding of government regulations impacting admissions and resident stays.
