Overview
To build and strengthen the character of Jr. and Sr. High School students through structured and recreational basketball.
Responsibilities
-
Teach the students how to play/respect the game of basketball, enforcing the rules.

Develop and run a 2-hour basketball program 1-2 times a week for youth ages 13-19.

Develop and run a 2-hour basketball program once a week for youth ages 9-12.

Responsible for keeping the stats and submitting them to the Corps Officer at the end of each month .

Responsible for handling the Registration of the participants prior to the start of the program.

Responsible for the cleanliness of the gymnasium, hallways, and restroom facilities throughout the Corps building.

Responsible for notifying the Youth Ministry Coordinator of any issues.

Responsible for reporting to the Youth Ministry Coordinator of any problems, injuries, or incidents involving the property, program and/or the participants.

The Basketball Coach reports directly to the Corps Officers regarding all youth and family recreation related issues

The Basketball Coach is responsible for maintaining a safe and structured environment by following the Keepsafe policies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and/or experience with basketball coaching

Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Attention to detail.

Problem-solving and assessment with the ability to multitask.

Work as a team player as well as independently

Good organizational skills, writing skills, and communication skills are a must.

Has respect and consideration for the people being served.
