Full job description

Obstetrics, Gynecology & Midwifery Services at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking an experienced and passionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our supportive and collaborative OBGYN and Midwifery team. The ideal candidate will have a team-based approach and a solution-oriented mindset, and be able to provide a full scope of midwifery duties suitable for a rural setting. The CNM will work in close collaboration with three OBGYNs, three midwives, and one women's health nurse practitioner to foster a supportive, collaborative environment.

In addition to women's health and family planning services, our midwives provide 24-hour on-call coverage for midwifery caseload patients. Deliveries occur in our beautiful birth center on the same floor as our Clinic. We emphasize supporting physiologic birth and patient choice to achieve excellent outcomes. Nursing staff provide 1:1 support for women who have water labor and birth, nitrous oxide, intrathecal, or VBAC options. NVRH features spacious labor and delivery rooms, a comfortable call room suite, and full-time lactation counselor support.

Qualifications:

Nurse Midwifery Certification

Current Vermont RN and APRN license (or ability to obtain)

Current Vermont DEA (or ability to obtain)

BLS through the AHA
