Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to lead product definition for electromechanical systems in the next generation of Teradyne semiconductor test solutions. This person identifies essential requirements and develops creative solutions, working closely with Product Marketing to understand customer needs and with Product Development to implement new designs.

  • Synthesize requirements from multiple market segments and applications.

  • Develop high-level product objectives into discrete, specific product requirements.

  • Collaborate directly with customers to solve problems, build understanding, and foster collaborative relationships.

  • Generate innovative concepts for mechanical and electrical solutions.

  • Partner with development teams to provide technical guidance, trade-off assessments, change management, and clear communication throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Support collaboration with the global supply base to deliver economically viable solutions.

  • Develop technical capability roadmaps to support evolving market requirements over time.

  • Contribute across the organization as a subject matter expert for customer perspectives and technical solutions.

  • Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Experience with semiconductor production and capital equipment used for test is preferred.

  • Strong systems engineering experience including requirements development, product definition, and cross-functional technical effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative mechanical and electrical solutions.

  • Experience working directly with customers to understand requirements and solve complex technical issues.

  • Strong collaboration skills with global suppliers and cross-functional development teams.

  • Disciplined and methodical engineering rigor with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence customers, internal teams, and suppliers worldwide.

  • Initiative and drive to bring innovative and challenging products to market.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $153,600 - $245,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
