In this job, you will:

Leverage your prior Navy background to serve as Technical Project Manager for the Fleet Service Engineering business area.

Develop work breakdown structures and plan of action and milestone schedules for all Fleet Support Engineering (FSE) assessments to ensure proper project execution and identify technical and business resources required.

Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports.

Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

Assist other Project Leads with planning, resource management, budgeting and technical operations for CONUS and OCONUS projects.

Provide analytical and technical guidance to project teams.

Provide progress reports for all shipboard and local activities.

Assist in directing the day-to-day tasks of lower-level employees.

Perform tasking with minimal supervision.

Coordinate and perform IFF system assessments such as ALOA s, CSSQT s, and MCAs, as required.

Support the Fleet Modernization Program business area with installing IFF system upgrades on board Navy ships or land-based sites.

Answering On Board Technical Assistance (OBTA) calls.

Your duties will include the following:
You are willing to travel 10-25% of the time to assist with shipboard/shore-based system installations and test events and will work onboard ships to accomplish assignments. You will exert frequent energy, such as climbing to go aloft for antenna inspections and lifting/carrying heavy objects. You may be required to work overtime hours or weekends (paid appropriately) to support installations and test events and will occasionally perform work in disagreeable environmental conditions.
This position is located in beautiful Southern Maryland. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate to within daily commuting distance of Saint Inigoes, MD.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in an Engineering, Technical, Business, or Computer Science or IT discipline and at least 4 years of related experience OR Associate degree and at least 6 years of related experience OR High School diploma and at least 8 years of related experience
NEC 1571 (V06B), NEC 1572 (V07B), or equivalent AN/UPX-29(V) IFF System experience
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, leadership and problem-solving skills under pressure.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to all levels of stakeholders.
Ability to initiate, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
Ability to climb aloft U.S. Navy vessels and lift/carry heavy objects.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with troubleshooting complex, interconnected electronics systems in a U.S. Navy Combat Systems shipboard environment.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
