Select Medical is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RT) / Days - $15k Sign-on Bonus. Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides world‑class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. The Respiratory Therapist (RT) will deliver compassionate respiratory care, evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, perform endotracheal tube procedures, promote quality improvement, and educate patients and families while working 12‑hour day shifts at the Oregon and Sylvania locations.

Key focus areas include Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans., Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions., and Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes..

Preferred (not required): Evaluating Patients, Providing Respiratory Care, Endotracheal Tube Insertion, and Continuous Quality Improvement.

Overview

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Location: Oregon, OH

Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift(6:00am to 6:30pm; 12-Hour Shifts)

Compensation: $33.43 to $45.00 Per Hour; Based on years of experience and Shift differentials on weekends

Sign-on bonus: $15,000

*This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.

  • Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.

  • Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.

  • Promoting continuous quality improvement.

  • Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.

  • Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.

  • Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

  • Current state licensure is required.

  • ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

  • One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
