Back to all roles Engineering Software Engineer Cincinnati, OH or Remote (US) Full-time About this role As a Software Engineer at Soundtrace, you'll build and maintain the platform that tens of thousands of workers depend on for their hearing health. From audiometric testing workflows to real-time compliance dashboards, you'll work across the full stack to ship features that directly protect people. The specific tech stack can be shared during the interview process — assume common web technologies.
What you'll do
- Build and improve features across our web and mobile applications
- Work across the full stack of a modern web platform — frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical teams
- Ship code to production regularly with a focus on reliability and performance
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning
- Help maintain and improve our testing, CI/CD, and monitoring systems Who you are
- 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Solid grounding in common web technologies — modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, server-side development, and relational databases
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where you wear multiple hats
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communicator who can work effectively with non-technical teammates Nice to have
- Experience with mobile development
- Familiarity with healthcare or compliance software (HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Background in data visualization or real-time systems
