Business Office Manager Rate: $29- $32/hour (depending on experience) Shift: Full-Time Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add a Business Office Manager to its team. In this role, you’ll oversee the facility’s financial operations, resident accounts, and billing processes while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and financial requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage resident financial accounts, billing, collections, spending accounts, petty cash, and related financial records

  • Meet with residents and families to gather financial information and assist with Medicaid applications and financial processes

  • Process deposits, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, and maintain accurate financial documentation

  • Coordinate with insurance providers, Medicare, Medicaid, DSS, VA programs, and other agencies regarding authorizations, coverage, and reimbursement

  • Review account ledgers, process adjustments, refunds, and payment postings

  • Monitor resident insurance coverage, billing status, and financial notifications

  • Participate in census reporting, rehabilitation meetings, and required regulatory reporting

  • Maintain HIPAA, infection control, and compliance standards

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education requirement: Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance office, preferably in a long-term care setting

  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance billing, and resident account management

  • Strong financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance

  • Notary Public certification preferred
