Parent-Tot Gymnastics Instructor Part-Time

This is an ongoing recruitment process, with no specific closing date. We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.
$15.70 - $19.00 per hour
Are you passionate about working with children? We are seeking an enthusiastic, engaging, fun individual who loves working with toddler and preschool aged children, encouraging physical activity, and teaching basic gymnastics skills that emphasize gross and fine motor coordination. Gymnastics experience is encouraged but not required. And as an added perk, instructors may receive complimentary registration for one of their own children in a Parent-Tot or District recreation gymnastics class.
The Goodson Recreation Center has immediate openings for Gymanstics Parent-Tot class Instructors.
Our Ideal Candidate

Will have prior experience working with young children, such as preschool, summer camps, youth sports, etc.

Gymnastics experience is a bonus, but not a requirement of this position - we can teach you the basic shapes and spotting techniques.

Has the ability to communicate effectively to establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public.
Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of employment (offered through SSPRD employment)

Our mission is to foster healthy living through stewardship of the environment, parks, trails, and open space by providing recreational services and programs.
We serve residents in Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Centennial west of I-25, Littleton, Lone Tree and Sheridan and unincorporated portions of Douglas, Jefferson and Arapahoe counties. We operate four full-service recreation centers, golf courses, outdoor pools and restaurants, two ice centers and miniature golf courses, a botanical garden event center a BMX track, a sports dome, batting cages, an entertainment center, a hotel and a nature center. In addition, we maintain nearly 3,800 acres of developed and open space land, including 119 multi-purpose athletic fields, more than 100 parks, nearly 80 miles of trails, 60 playgrounds, 56 tennis courts, and the 880-acre South Platte Park.
