  • Work Experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities/OPWDD with children or adults preferred

  • Sensitivity to the needs of the individual

  • Genuine interest in teaching, and willingness to motivate individuals to learn

  • Valid New York State License, current insurance and liability coverage

  • Strong command of verbal and written communication (English)

  • Accountability

  • Directly accountable to the individual primary caregivers , and indirectly accountable to the Program Coordinator Self Direction
