Description Position at Ookla

The Opportunity: We are seeking a high-impact Sales Director for North America to support the growth of the Downdetector enterprise business. This role is responsible for driving a distinct go-to-market motion focused on aggressive logo acquisition and strategic account expansion across the US and Canada. The ideal candidate combines consultative enterprise selling expertise with a deep understanding of Observability, Service Operations, incident management, Digital transformations, network performance, SaaS analytics, and data-driven business solutions. Furthermore, the candidate must possess strong strategic skills to build high-level relationships with both technical and business stakeholders, manage complex Accenture-led engagements, and foster cross-functional collaboration to successfully scale the Downdetector enterprise footprint. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vertical Growth: Execute sales strategies to expand into markets in Finance & Banking, Tech, SaaS & Cloud, and Retail & Platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build high-level relationships with stakeholders in Customer Experience (CX), Care, Digital Operations, Observability, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Partnership Management: Support strategic engagements with solutions partnerships and resellers to increase pipeline and align Downdetector with global technology consulting frameworks.
  • Account Strategy: Implement "Land, Expand & Grow" initiatives to maximize revenue from existing enterprise accounts. Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Working Experience
  • 10+ years in a similar Sales or Business Executive role
  • Proven track record in enterprise SaaS sales, specifically driving results in the NORAM market.
  • Experience selling into one or more Observability, CX, Digital Ops, or SRE teams within Finance, Tech, or Retail verticals.
  • Ability to navigate complex consulting partnerships to drive enterprise-wide adoption. About

Compensation Range

Ookla provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is $100,000 to $150,000 annually. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
