Senior Machinist SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE

As a Machinist, you will layout, setup, operating, and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment producing quality products in a timely fashion.

Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area)

Type: Full-time, Regular position

Salary Range : $30-$32/hour

Your Challenge:

  • Manufactures and inspects detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, and other machining equipment) and using mathematical and geometrical calculations.

  • Works from blueprints and process sheets.

  • Set up and run various parts on manual lathes as well as Brown and Sharpe single spindle automatic machines.

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses processes to eliminate variability and improve throughput.

  • Must have the ability to take dimensional inspections and interpret the results against the provided blueprint.

  • Responsible to verify the quality of their product and accuracy of all work.

  • Working knowledge of shop and machine safety procedures.

  • Must use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools.

  • Must understand the basic application of various cutting tools.

  • Flexible, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Must be willing/ able to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role

  • High School/GED required

  • Technical/Trade School preferred

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull 50 lbs

  • Manual machine experience is required

  • Brown and Shape single spindle experience a plus

  • Experience with stainless steels and high-temperature alloys

  • PC skills are a plus; Lift truck experience a plus.
