Position Summary:

As a Mobile Fleet Technician, you will serve as the primary maintenance resource for our East Brunswick location, handling routine service, diagnostics, and minor repairs on tractors and trailers. You’ll be trusted with a company-provided service truck and tooling, and expected to work independently while communicating regularly with Regional Maintenance Manager or Shop Fleet Supervisor. This opportunity is for a technician who can work autonomy, takes initiative, and is dedicated to equipment reliability and safety. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things maintenance at the satellite terminal—playing a hands-on role in reducing downtime, extending equipment life, and supporting seamless logistics operations.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to assigned equipment• Troubleshooting electric systems and complex after treatment repairs • Assisting with daily Administrative duties• Coordinating daily repairs and work flow • Supporting Terminal Operations with equipment issues and relaying out of service events• Assisting with breakdowns and vendor related issues

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

  • Strong knowledge of class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT/OSHA guidelines• Must have a compliment of tools required to perform most Class 8 repairs• Familiar with the systems relative to today’s heavy-duty equipment• Must have 5 plus years of maintenance experience in a fleet maintenance environment• Strong computer skills and proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook• Must be able to multi-task • 90 percent travel time or more is required• Good written and strong oral communication skills• CDL/State Inspection a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school Diploma and Industry Management Experience
