Technician I, R&D

Job Description:

  • Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, qualifications units, and validation units

  • Record test results on standard forms and write test reports describing procedures used

  • Provide support for the development of new products Interface with assemblers to teach new procedures

  • Conduct tests to verify product integrity in the design phase

  • Recognize problems and take corrective action

  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (high school/trade school education or equivalent experience)

  • Up to 3 years assembly or hands-on technician work

  • Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes Comprehension of technical documents Basic math skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the medical device industry preferred

  • General computer skills including Word and Excel desirable

Physical

  • Light lifting, up to 25 lbs.

  • High microscope usage

  • Extended periods of sitting
