BACK Business Operations Lead BUSINESS OPERATIONS | San Francisco, New York City | On-site | Full-time

The Role We're looking for a founding Business Operations lead who will be a strategic partner to Rowspace's founders. This is a high-horsepower generalist seat for someone who can take ambiguous, high-stakes problems and drive them to resolution. You'll work across GTM, product, and finance, owning whatever matters most to the business at any given moment.

Much of your time will be spent on strategy and tactics, but execution is as important as the thinking — what matters most is your ability to turn ideas into action and get stuff done. You should be just as excited to jump on a customer call, build a financial model, or fill a gap the team hasn't hired for yet.

What You'll Do

  • Own strategic problems end to end — GTM strategy, pricing, market segmentation, competitive positioning.

  • Be the founder's analytical right hand — build the analyses and frameworks that drive key decisions.

  • Synthesize signal across the business (customer feedback, pipeline data, product usage) into clear recommendations.

  • Step into customer-facing work when needed — discovery calls, demos, onboarding, QBRs.

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that don't have a natural owner — you're the person who makes sure important things don't fall through the cracks.

  • Help hire and build out the team as we scale.

What You Have

  • 3–7+ years of experience — you likely come from management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a high-growth startup, and you've been the person others rely on to structure and solve hard problems.

  • Exceptional analytical horsepower — you can build a model, dissect a market, or restructure a pricing framework and make it look easy.

  • High agency — you don't need to be told what to work on; you see what matters and go after it.

  • Strong writer — you can distill complexity into a crisp memo or board deck that moves people to action.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and range — competitive analysis to customer call to recruiting pitch in the same afternoon.

  • Intellectually curious about financial services — you want to understand the industry deeply, even if you haven't worked in it before.

Perks & Benefits

  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Future Planning: 401(k) plan including employer match on contributions made while employed by Rowspace

  • Time Off: Unlimited PTO policy—we trust you to take the time you need to recharge

  • Food & Fuel: Monthly commuter stipend, plus free daily lunch and a fully stocked snack bar in the office

  • Team Culture: Regular team offsites to bond and strategize away from the desk
