Unit Clerk

Located in Mars, PA

This is a full-time position, working 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania.

The Unit Clerk perform general clerical duties, prepare, compile and maintain records under the direction of a licensed professional nurse on the nursing unit by performing the following duties:

  • Order supplies for Nursing Units and/or Personal Care.

  • Prepare, compile and maintain medical records adequately and in a timely manner.

  • Transcribe physician orders per policy.

  • Schedule and prepare for routine physician visits as assigned, including consults.

  • Debridement of medical records, organize charts to go to offsite storage

Qualifications

Unit Clerk requirements include:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.

  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
