Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Virginia Beach, VA | Outpatient Sports & Spine
Full-Time Interest Encouraged | Start Part-Time (~20–25 hrs) and Grow to Full-Time
Thrive Proactive Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient sport and spine private practice.
This role is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working with an active population and wants more than repetitive protocols. You’ll work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary clinic that blends Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage, and Fitness — with a strong emphasis on biomechanics and Postural Restoration® principles.
We are open to starting part-time (approximately 20–25 hours/week) with a structured pathway to full-time as caseload grows. Full-time interest is encouraged to apply. Active Virginia PTA License required.
Compensation
$30–$36/hour depending on experience
Opportunity for performance-based increases as caseload and contribution grow
What You’ll Do

Deliver therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

Review plans of care and execute progressive treatment strategies

Monitor patient response and communicate changes to supervising PT

Support progression of exercise programs and functional retraining

Maintain timely documentation within required standards

Contribute to positive patient experience and retention

Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers when appropriate
