Powered by the intelligent, versatile, and highly adaptable WeRide One platform, the company provides autonomous driving products and services ranging from Level 2 to Level 4, addressing mobility, logistics, and urban services.

WeRide.ai Silicon Valley team is looking for Motion Planning Engineers who enjoy having their software make critical decisions rather than just “process” or “display” data. We need people unafraid of crafting motion planning systems to make great decisions, every time, in all conditions.

What you will do:

  • Building/Integrating software and algorithms for path planning, behavioral planning and vehicle control
  • Developing/Implementing/Evaluating/Launching algorithms in Robotic motion planning (e.g., A*, CC-RRT), vehicle modeling and kinematics

Requirements:

  • BS/MS/PhD degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering)
  • Skilled in numerical optimization techniques (e.g., nonlinear constrained optimization) or skilled in AI or Robotics
  • Proven ability to produce computationally efficient software that can meet real-time requirements
  • 3+ years experience in motion planning, AI, or autonomy for real-world applications
