Job Summary:

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to work as part of the Contract Services team in the daily production requirements for all functions of the department.

Job Duties/What You'll Do

• Count and divide food items (salads, entrees, baked goods, etc) for production and Contract Services clients.

• Follow sanitation requirements as prescribed by county, state, and federal authorities.

• Obtain products from storage areas; weigh or measure products according to recipes; portion hot and cold food components; package and label meals and products; move products to designated storage or transportation area; clean and maintain equipment and work areas.

• Assist with training and work with student employees, coworkers, and managers in service to our customers.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Experience:

• Must possess a ServSafe certificate or similar food safety course certificate or pass the ServSafe exam within the first three months of employment.

Preferred Education/Experience:

• Previous food service, food production, or related experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

• Detail oriented.

• Ability to work on multiple tasks.

• Basic math skills with very high accuracy.

• Basic reading, oral, and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to follow health and sanitation standards by maintaining food temperatures, cleaning and sanitizing supplies, and proper personal hygiene.

• Ability to provide helpful and responsive customer service.

• Ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
