Full job description

This 2nd Shift role will run 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.

Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.

Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.
-
Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.
-
Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs.

Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.

Support new process and product development and implementation.

Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.
YOU HAVE:
-
High school diploma or G.E.D
-
Ideally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred
-
Ideally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.
